Dr. Jane Tuomola, Clinical Psychologist, Coach, and Coaching Supervisor, will introduce the principles and practices of Solution Focused Supervision and explore how it can transform the supervision conversation.
During this interactive session, Jane will share key ideas from Solution Focused Supervision, examples of how it works in practice, and the different ways practitioners can deepen their learning — including supervision groups and training opportunities.
Supervision is often described as the cornerstone of ethical and effective practice. But what happens when supervision itself is approached through a Solution Focused lens?
Rather than focusing primarily on problems or deficits, Solution Focused Supervision builds on what practitioners are already doing well and supports them in developing their own best next steps. The approach encourages reflective learning, strengthens professional confidence, and creates a collaborative space where supervisees can explore challenges while remaining connected to their skills, values, and preferred ways of working.
