Who will be there?
In addition to YOU, there will be a great line-up of speakers representing amazing Solution Focused work around the region. Today we highlight three more of the speakers; see past newsletter issues for information on other speakers.
Debbie Hogan, MCC, MSFC, EMCC MP & ESIA
Debbie has advanced degrees in Psychology and Counselling with over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist, coach and trainer. As an executive coach, she works with CEO’s, top-level management, and the private sector. She is a Certified Master Solution Focused Coach and Examiner for the CCPC and IASTI certifications, Master Practitioner with the EMCC and Accredited as a Global Coach/Mentor Supervisor, and Master Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
Debbie trained with Insoo Kim Berg and Steve de Shazer, the developers of Solution Focused practice and founded the Academy of Solution Focused Training in 2004 and has been training and certifying coaches across Asia, Europe and the US. Her coach training is accredited as an ACTP with the ICF and she is a member of the PCC Assessor Community. Debbie served as Vice President and Director of Membership for ICF Singapore Chapter from 2019 – 2021, the largest single chapter in the world.
She is a contributor to The Art of Solution Focused Therapy, Encounters with Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg, co-editor of Solution Focused Practice in Asia, and co-editor of Solution Focused Practice Around the World. Her current book project, Solution Focused Coaching in Asia will be published in 2024.
Dave Hogan, MCC, MSFC, EMCC ICTA
Dave has over 26 years experience as a consultant, trainer and coach. He has degrees in French, Theology and Counseling and specializes in coaching, training, mentoring and leadership development. He conducts training for organizations in team coaching, leadership development and career transitioning. As an executive coach, he works with CEOs, top level managers and leaders in local and multi-national companies. Dave is a Certified Solution Focused Coach with the CCPC, Master Solution Focused Coach with the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes, and Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. He is an accredited Team Coach with the EMCC and a Mentor Coach with the ICF.
Dave is the Director of the Academy of Solution Focused Training and has been training and certifying coaches across Asia with the CCPC and IASTI since 2004. In 2016, his coach training was accredited with the ICF as an ACTP. He is co-editor of Solution Focused Practice in Asia with Debbie Hogan, Jane Tuomola and Alan Yeo, a first in Asia. Dave is Chapter President of Solution Focus in Organisations (SFiO) and is actively involved in the international community of SF practitioners.
Kevin Lee, MCIArb, ASFC
Kevin carries a rich background of experience and commendation, underscored by his Executive Certificate in Mediation (ECIM) from the prestigious Singapore Management University Law Academy. Kevin has earned accreditation as a mediator from prestigious entities globally such as the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) in the United Kingdom, the Singapore Mediation Centre, the Community Mediation Centre (Singapore), and the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA).
In pursuit of dispute resolution mastery, Kevin has engaged in advanced studies at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, UK, nearing the completion of his Master of Law (LLM) in Dispute Resolution. His educational journey is complemented by specialized training in mediation and negotiation, including programs by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School Executive Programme and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Executive Programme.
Expanding his professional scope, Kevin has delved into coaching, achieving certification as an advanced solution-focused coach with the International Alliance of Solution Focused Teaching Institutes (IASTI) after completing Level 2 Solution-Focused Coach training in November 2023. He is diligently working towards his Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coach Federation (ICF), reflecting his commitment to weaving his mediation acumen with solution-focused coaching techniques.
Kevin's passion for knowledge transfer is evident in his creation of a series of pioneering training workshops. A standout offering is the latest unique workshop specially curated for the Academy of Solution-Focused Training 2024 Conference titled: “Mediating High-Conflict Dispute for Lasting Solutions Using the Solution-Focused Approach,” underscoring his innovative approach to conflict resolution and his dedication to empowering others with effective mediation strategies.
